Hello!
My name is Ilana, and I’m an illustrator and graphic designer from Bronx, NY.
My whole life I’ve loved art and drawing. Creating visual representations of characters and stories has always delighted and fulfilled me.
When I was in Junior High, I filled out one of those “Draw Me!” pages in the back of an Archie Comic. Then one fateful day, my mom was surprised by a call asking if her daughter was interested in art school. From that moment, there was no going back.
I earned my BFA in Communications Design from Pratt Institute, and garnered experience working in many different mediums and with a wide variety of clients. I’ve been a freelance artist for 10+ years, and served as the Assistant Art Editor of Salon from 2019 to 2025.
When I’m not at the drawing board, you can find me working in my garden, creating outfits for the Renaissance Faire, and playing with my dog, Rico.
